Enjoy idyllic views and village life from this stunning barn conversion with a hobbit-style hut, wood burner and pub-size table football. This pretty accommodation is close to Shrewsbury town, perfect for groups, including the canine, and ideal for those wanting an active retreat.

Set within the grounds of the owner’s home but with complete privacy guaranteed, this warm and cosy holiday destination welcomes you into the farmhouse kitchen, where you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst making dinner for the group. The space is well-equipped and even includes a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. The bright and airy ambience continues through to the open-plan lounge/diner, where solid oak floors and soft furnishings provide a haven for mouthwatering meals and board game evenings. Grab a few moments of peace with a good book and a cuppa in the snug, or join everyone for nights in front of the wood burner and films streamed on the Smart TV. There’s even a Wii console and championship football table for the highly competitive of the crew. Up the hand-crafted staircase, four bedrooms and two bathrooms provide guests plenty of options and facilities. Outside, grab the blankets and huddle together in the hobbit-style hut, where you can toast your feet in front of the central log burner or enjoy a cup of cocoa.

Visit the medieval market town of Shrewsbury to gaze upon the 600-listed buildings, including its striking castle and world-famous abbey. Keen walkers will be itching to join Offa’s Dyke (28 miles), a 177-mile-long trail which runs parallel to the England/Wales border and has been rated as one of the world’s greatest walks. For those seeking lively farmers’ markets, unique shops, and fascinating industrial heritage, Oswestry (22 miles) is well worth a visit.

Beautiful, spotlessly clean cottage. The village is lovely, the local shop, just around the corner is excellent. Lots of nice walks and interesting places to visit close by.

Excellent property. Spotless, comfy, lots of room and with everything you need. Lots of time spent playing the table football. Very helpful and friendly owners. Great location to explore the hills, not far from Shrewsbury and a lovely village. Would recommend highly.
