Charming traditional Welsh cottage, nestling in a pretty and peaceful village, surrounded by the gently rolling Carmarthenshire hills. Within easy reach of the coast and an excellent selection of visitor attractions.

The attractive cottage is set in the traditional Welsh village of Llanfynydd. Enjoy picturesque walks through the village and surrounding countryside from your front door, before refuelling in the cosy local pub, just 200 metres away. Further afield, you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants in the market towns of Llandeilo (9.5 miles) and Carmarthen (11.5 miles). The cottage sleeps five guests, ideal for both families and groups of friends, and has a sociable, open-plan layout.

Enter the holiday home into the bright lounge/diner, which is decorated in neutral tones and, thanks to dual-aspect windows, is bathed in natural light. Relax here on the plump sofas, watching your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, or gather for family mealtimes at the wooden dining table. An archway leads through to the spacious kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need for a stress-free, self-catering holiday. Upstairs, discover three charming bedrooms and a stylish bathroom. Outside, a suntrap courtyard awaits, with furniture for al fresco dining. This area is fully enclosed, making it ideal for four-pawed guests.

The attractive market town of Llandeilo, with its colourful houses and cute shops, is 9.5 miles away. It’s the perfect place for a potter around on a lazy afternoon, followed by a stroll along the river or a bite to eat in one of the traditional pubs. For a day at the seaside, head to the pretty coastal village of Llansteffan (20 miles). The village boasts a rugged, sandy beach, and there are also some fabulous walks, following the Wales Coast Path, branching away from the village. Nearby attractions include the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Dinefwr National Trust (both within 10 miles).

The cottage was absolutely great and having Netflix to watch later in the evening made it more homely. The area itself was great for walks and we got to chat to a few locals and meet Clive the donkey that lives next door. I perfect place for dogs and the wonderful Welsh beaches were not far away. In Fact we were spoiled for choice when it came to pRead morelaces to visit and eat. I had a evening meal at the local Inn 'Pen y bont' and the service and food were amazing. Hide
