Escape to this unique traditional Welsh cottage with tidal access, on the Cymyran Straits, Anglesey. Enjoy the cosy wood burner and the spectacular coastal views. This homely three-bedroom property sits on five acres of land a stones throw away from sandy beaches and rockpools.

Step inside the bright kitchen/diner with plenty of surface space for preparing a hearty meal and a small table with chairs. Continue into the comfortable living area which has two plump sofas, a footstool, a characterful exposed stone fireplace with a wood burner and Smart TV. Additional seating can be found in the sunroom, where you can relax with a book and soak up the views. Completing the property is a bathroom and three bedrooms – a double, twin and small double. Outside is a spacious garden with an enclosed area and expansive lawned areas with garden furniture.

During your stay on  Anglesey, you’ll be spoilt for choice with idyllic coastal walks, beaches for swimming and sunbathing, plus nature reserves. The property is located on the western edge of Anglesey, opposite the wild and windswept Holy Island (4 miles) – where you can discover the remains of Roman forts, play golf, go horse riding and hire boats. Nearby beaches that are worth a visit include Traeth Borth Wen (4.5 miles), Porth Dafarch (5 miles) and Ynys Llanddwyn West Beach (20 miles). If you fancy a night off from cooking, head to Holyhead (5 miles), where you can also take day trips over to Ireland, or Valley (2 miles). Parc Arfordirol Penrhos Coastal Park (2.5 miles) is a scenic park and garden by the sea and is an excellent spot for a picnic.

Plas Bach is a super, comfortable cottage in such a special location. If peace, walks and being close to the sea is what you are looking for, Plas Bach ticks all the boxes. The owners are extremely helpful and approachable and obviously care a great deal about their property to ensure guests have a lovely time. We will certainly hope to return.

The property would benefit from being slightly better equipped in terms of kitchen utensils (slotted spoon for example) Also, whilst there were leaflets, it would have been good to have an info pack, with recommendations

The information on the website was accurate and probably didn't need enlarging, however, we felt that we needed to know more about how the property was heated and a couple of other questions, probably too minor to be considered before booking. The cottage is superbly equipped, in a wonderful location and for guests looking for peace and quiet absoRead morelutely perfect. Fully intend to return at some point in the future as we felt this property was a real find and in a particularly lovely part of the island. Hide
