Enjoy a truly warm welcome at this interesting cottage adjoining the owner's C17 farmhouse, with wonderful views across the Menai Straits to Caernarfon and Snowdonia from the garden and sun room. Situated in a rural location just outside the village of Brynsiencyn, 5 miles to the famous village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.., 7 miles to the stunning Newborough beach and around 7 miles to the university city of Bangor.
‘Foel farm just outside the village was very popular with my children when they where younger! It has a lovely friendly atmosphere where you can feed and hold the animals, go for a fun tractor ride or short, led pony ride. There is also a café and chocolate workshop where you can see chocolates being made’ from Jacky, our local property manager

The vast Llanddwyn beach and Newborough Forest, with its cycling and walking trails, is a short drive away, as is the popular Anglesey Sea Zoo and the National Trust's Plas Newydd. Foel Farm is just outside the village and popular with children who can hold the animals and go on a tractor ride. 7 Things to do from Blochdy
1 – Well you can’t miss visiting the train station and having a photo taken next to the place with the longest name in Britain Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!. Instagram here we come!
2 – The stunning beach at Newborough is fantastic in the summer for swimming and sunbathing but also breath-taking out of season for walking and admiring the far-reaching views. Always popular over the Christmas period for blowing the cobwebs away!
3 – Foel farm is a treat for the kids with animals to hold and feed, tractor rides, pony rides, a café and chocolate workshop, and all in a lovely setting.
4 – Enjoy award winning food in a relaxed environment at the Marram Grass near Newborough or visit the ever popular Dylans in Menai Bridge for good food in a great location on the Menai Straits.
5 – There are cycling, walking and running trails at Newborough forest, with plenty of information available. See if you can spot one of the Red Squirrels in this nature reserve? Or Walk to the tidal Ynys Llanddwyn (Llanddwyn Island) to visit the ancient lighthouse, tiny pilot house terrace museum or ponder the legend of Saint Dwynwen, the welsh patron saint of lovers.
6 – More cycling and walking can be had along the Lon Las Cefni from the coast to the town of Llangefni, mostly flat and traffic free, this is a perfect ride for the kids. Visit Oriel Ynys Mon, art gallery with permanent Kyffin Williams exhibition, whilst you are there.
7 – Drive over the famous Menai Bridge and head to the nearby mountains and lakes of the Snowdonia National Park.
Stunning cottage in beautiful setting. Ideal location to explore AngleseyMrs Paula Lynette Jones - 30th July 2018
Lovely quirky cottage overlooking Menai Straights, fantastic garden with BBQ we really enjoyed our stay everything you could possibly want was there, Dog enjoyed it too, enclosed garden so good if you have a younger dog, ours was just quite content to lie in shade as it was very hot when we were there. Would go again. Mrs Pamela Matuszczak - 10th July 2018

Two great weeks walking the entire coastal path, with mixed weather.
