Holiday Cottages on Anglesey
A journey across the impressive Menai Suspension Bridge takes you from the mainland of north Wales to the magical Island of Anglesey. Stunning beaches await you here, with 125 miles of coastline to explore: broad sandy beaches, soaring sea cliffs, watersports, dog friendly beaches, the choice is yours.
There are beaches for everyone, from the surfing and windsurfing beaches near Rhosneigr, the family friendly sandy beaches at Red Wharf bay and Benllech, beaches for dog walking and spectacular views at Newborough, or pebble beaches and rock pooling beaches at Moelfre and Cemaes Bay. For great country walking follow the Anglesey Coast Path, all 125 miles of it, this goes all the way around Anglesey and takes you through many areas of ONB (outstanding Natural Beauty) and a varied and beautiful coastal landscape. Many circular walks can be taken, or make use of the local buses for linear walks.
Anglesey has many pretty coastal villages and harbours from where you can explore Anglesey’s ancient maritime history. Beaumaris has a medieval castle and gaol and good shops and Menai Bridge also has some interesting independent shops. The village of Moelfre has a very popular Sea Watch Centre and stunning sculptures commemorating the shipwreck of the Royal Charter. Rhosneigr is an all year destination, very popular with surfers and kite surfers, whilst the larger town of Holyhead is where you can take trips over to Ireland from. Benllech is a popular family seaside resort and of course
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is famous for its very long name! The interior of Anglesey has many places of historical interest along with golf clubs, nature reserves for bird watching and horse riding centres. The food and drink scene on Anglesey is thriving with many highly rated restaurants and cafes along with an abundance of locally produced goodies available from farm shops and local supermarkets.
