Wales Cottage Holidays has a great choice of cottages in the stunning Brecon Beacons just right for a peaceful weekend break away. Get away and relax before the festive Christmas rush begins!
The historic market town of Brecon is well worth a visit with a maze of streets to wander and plenty of opportunities to stop and refresh with a cup of tea and some traditional Welsh fayre. Brecon is also host to a well-established craft fair where up to 60 artists and craft workers display a wide range of original and unique work. A great opportunity to pick up some gifts or just something beautiful for yourself, the fair is open 16 November, 7 & 21 December.
Brecon Cathedral sits in a walled close, the only one of its kind in Wales, and everyone is free to visit and enjoy the peace of this wonderful building. A fantastic venue for concerts and the many of the services are sung by the choir. The Brecon Singers, for their next concert on the 16 November, perform classic Vivaldi and also River Songs, a pleasing synthesis of traditional material with a modern feel.
