Christmas Fun and Festivities in Pembrokeshire and West Wales, Swansea and Cardiff

Written by The Wales Cottage Holidays Team on

There’s loads to see and do around Cardiff and Swansea, from the Cardiff Christmas Market (until 23 December) and a great range of events at the National Waterfront Museum. Father Christmas and Friends will be at St Fagans: National History Museum and A Tudor Holiday shows a Tudor household preparing for Christmas on the 14th. Christmas gifts and produce in the Carmarthen and Llandovery area can be found at Aberglasney Winter Fair on 30 November and 1 December and Crafts from Carmarthenshire on 7 and 14 December. Gwili Steam Railway is running Santa’s Magical Steamings on December weekends and there’s Boxing Day Racing at Ffos Las Racecourse on the 26th. If you’re staying around Cardigan and North Pembrokeshire, Cardigan Christmas Fair is held at the Guildhall on 7 December.

Take part in seasonal craft activities at the National Wool Museum near Newcastle Emlyn or come Carol Singing with Santa on 17 December. Fairs in Pembrokeshire include the Christmas Market at Pembroke Castle from 29 November to 1 December, a Christmas Market at Narberth’s Queens Hall on 14 December and the Milford Christmas Cracker at Milford Marina on the 15th. Whether a participant of one of the thousands of spectators, you’ll enjoy the spectacle of Tenby’s traditional Boxing Day Swim, one of Britain’s top festive events! Also on Boxing Day, New Quay and Lampeter visitors can join Tregaron Ramblers for the annual Tackle that Turkey Walk, 3.5 miles for all the family from Tregaron Square.
