Sit back and savour being surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside. Relax and unwind with family and friends in your own little bit of Wales this September!

Wales Holidays still has privately situated and secluded properties available over the next few weeks.

Here are a few examples of secluded cottages. A large family should take a look at the 4* cottage near Llandrindod Wells. Sleeping up to 14, this dormer cottage has bedrooms and living areas on both floors and overlooks it’s own stretch of the river Ithon. For a slightly smaller group of 8, the 4* cottage near New Radnor dates back to the early C19th and is approached along a no through road. Set in a fantastic area for walking, with variable length circular walks from the door.

For something a little but extra special, how about the 5* cottage near Llanbardarn Fynydd. Up in the hills and sleeping 7 this is a great spot for a country getaway in a peaceful location and the cottage has a games room next door. Just outside the village of Brithdir, the farmhouse near Dolgellau for 6 retains many original features after being modernised last year. Looking out to Cadair Idris, there is access to 25 acres of hill farm with areas of woodland and fishing.

In West Wales the traditional Welsh farmhouse near Cenarth is reached up a 200 yard track and this rural setting, close to the Preseli Hills, is abundant with wildlife. Sleeping up to 6 the cottage features both a woodburner and an open fire.

Close to The Black Mountain and within the Brecon Beacons National Park is the 4* cottage near Llangadog. Again for 6, the cottage benefits from games room facilities, a large garden and a woodland path that leads down to the private riverbank.
