Ironman Wales and more September Events for Pembrokeshire, Cardiff, Gower and West Wales holiday cottage visitors

Just a snapshot of ideas of what’s on from New Quay to Newport, Pembroke to Porthcawl during September.
New Quay and Lampeter visitors will soon find that at Lampeter Harness Racing they’ll be close to the track and won’t miss a stride of the action! Ten races or more throughout the day on 1 September. Ironman Wales is held in Pembrokeshire on 8 September, starting on Tenby’s stunning North Beach. A 3.8km sea swim is followed by 180km bike ride and then a marathon 42km run around picturesque Tenby!
Narberth Food Festival is a community event on 28 & 29 September, one of the friendliest and most enjoyable food festivals around. Wales Holidays visitors to Carmarthen and Llandovery can join the sleuths on Gwili Steam Railway’s Murder Mystery Evening on 14 September. While events at the National Botanic Garden of Wales include an exhibition of special bloomers on Chrysanthemum Day, 14 and 15 September, and the MG Rally on the 29th.
A diverse range of festivals near Cardiff and Swansea include the Glower Bluegrass Music Festival at Gower Heritage Centre from 6 to 8 September, St Fagans Food Festival at St Fagans: National History Museum on 7 and 8 September, and the Elvis Festival in Porthcawl from 27 to 29th!
Cardigan Ramblers are taking in the Upper Gwaun Valley on 8 September and Newcastle Emlyn – Cenarth on the 28th, both moderate circular walks of about 8 miles and ideal for Cardigan and North Pembrokeshire visitors.
