National Museums Wales get ready for Christmas in Snowdonia, West Wales, Gower and Cardiff

National Museum Wales looks forward to Christmas and Wales Holidays self-catering visitors in Pembrokeshire and West Wales, Cardiff and Swansea, Snowdonia and North Wales can get into the Christmas spirit and do some shopping with a difference too!

Wales Holidays visitors to the Betws-y-Coed and Porthmadog areas can visit the National Slate Museum at Llanberis in Snowdonia. The Winter Fair is held here on 24 November and promises to be a special festive fun day for all the family!

Down in Cardiff and South East Wales, the many seasonal events at St Fagans National History Museum include Meeting Father Christmas and Friends to exploring Traditional Christmas Customs and a Winter Solstice Feast. There’s Festive Family Fun at the National Museum Cardiff on 14 December and Doctor Who Christmas Specials at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea on the 15th. While the National Roman Legion Museum at Caerleon near Newport celebrates Christmas all over the World on 3 December and the Roman Saturnalia on the 7th. Bit Pit: National Coal Museum near Blaenavon and Abergavenny suggests ways for a Thrifty Christmas on 7 December and there are Festive Trails from 14 December to 3 January.

Visitors staying in a Wales Holidays cottage in Cardigan and north Pembrokeshire could head to the Christmas Craft Fair at the National Wool Museum near Newcastle Emlyn on 30 November, where Christmas Art Cart runs through December until the 24th.
