A few ideas of events and activities for Swansea and Ceredigion Wales Holidays visitors over the coming weeks. A diverse range of activities in the Cardiff and Swansea area include Gower Cider Weekend at Gower Heritage Centre on 12 & 13 October and Mini Burn Two, a multisport event for adults and juniors at Margam Country Park & Castle on 5 October. Or be inspired to draw and take part in The Big Draw, the World’s biggest celebration of drawing, at Blaenavon World Heritage Centre throughout October.
Pembrokeshire offers excellent walking along the Coast Path or in the Preseli Hills. For a bit of variety, you might fancy at trip to Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre, which offers magical children’s theatre Remember Remember on 12 October, and plays Free Folk on the 16th and The Turn of the Screw from 9-26 October. There’s a Countryside Raceday at Ffos Las Racecourse near Carmarthen and Llandovery on 13 October. And the Welsh Dairy Show is a showcase for tasty cheese, fresh milk and a variety of wild and wonderful Welsh products at United Counties Showground on the 15th.
If you’re staying around Cardigan and North Pembrokeshire you can join Cardigan Ramblers on an easy 3 mile Walk Around Wildlife Park on 2 October, followed by afternoon tea at the Welsh Wildlife Centre. There’s also a moderate 10 mile circular walk Preseli – Mynachlogddu on the 5th or a 5 mile coastal walk from Aberporth to Tresaith on the 19th. New Quay and Lampeter visitors can meet a master craftsman at work at a Harness Maker and Leatherwork Demonstration on 10 & 17 October at Llanerchaeron National Trust near Aberaeron.
