Aberystwyth Arts Centre has something on for everyone this January.
If you can’t get enough of pantomimes, come and experience the adventures of Dick Whittington and the Pi-Rats of the Caribbean which runs from the 9 to 25 January. For something completely different the cinema is showing the Bolshoi Ballet performing ‘Jewels’ on Sunday 19 January. The show is a tribute to jewellery, women and the three cities of St Petersburg, Paris and New York! To enjoy fantastic performances by stars Tom Hiddlestone and Mark Gatiss, visit the centre on Thursday 30 January for the National Theatre Live screening of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus. The following evening, come and immerse yourselves in the groove created by the soul-jazz supergroup Trio Valore. The National Library of Wales is always worth a visit, but particularly so on Wednesday 22 January. Book your free ticket and come along for a peek at the famous Book of Taliesin. Learn all about the hymns and poems of this medieval manuscript and how it is still influencing the arts today.
