Fish and seafood lovers should head for one of the scrummiest food festivals in Europe, Pembrokeshire Fish Week, which is happening this year from 28 June – 6 July.
The opening event at Milford Fish Docks will involve plenty of entertainment, hands on activities and fish cookery workshops, including a demonstration by top chef Bryn Williams. A Celebrity Chef Masterclass with Paul Rankin will take place at Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre on 2 July and the festival’s finale is a Proms night with Paul and the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra at Pembroke Castle - picnics, prawns, pimms and fireworks!
Other delicious events for foodies include gourmet nights, live jazz, tapas, a Fish Feast and Tutored tastings. You’ll also find shellfish specials, Sea Shanties and Dancing and much more throughout the county. Take a fishing trip or estuary cruise, get out and about in kayaks with the family, go crab catching and find out more about the local populations of seabirds along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. New for this year is an afternoon of family fun in St David’s and beach activities at Goodwick Harbour. And as well as the chance to win a £1000 fishing prize, competitions in photography, art and craft will be held throughout the Festival. See further events in Pembrokeshire throughout the summer here.
