Stay in cottages by the sea in Wales for some of the best beaches in the world, the only coastal National Park in Britain, and even a Coast Path right around the Welsh coastline. Wales became the first country in the world to offer visitors a formal trail all the way around the coast and the Wales Coast Path is about 870 miles long!

Naming coastal Wales a ‘best region on Earth’ to visit, the well-known Lonely Planet guide says “What a wonderful thing: to walk the entire length of a country’s coastline”. But as well as this novel achievement, we all know that the Wales coastline is top because of its wildlife, watersports and fantastic historic sites too.

With so much of Wales lying close to the coast, there are plenty of Wales Holidays cottages by the sea to choose from. Find far flung beaches at the end of the Lleyn Peninsula, hidden coves in Pembrokeshire, great long stretches of sandy beaches in Cardigan Bay, Gower or along the North Wales coast.

A day trip to the sea is never out of reach wherever you stay in Wales; in Mid Wales the distance from the English border to the West Wales coast is only 40 odd miles. Wild and windy or buckets and spades? Luxurious new 5* properties or cosy fisherman’s cottages? Take your pick with Wales Holidays.
