Discover the forests of Coed-y-Brenin while taking part in the Mawdach Goldrush Trail Race on the 5th April. The 8½ mile circuit takes you all over the beautiful woodlands and past dramatic views, including across to Cadair Idris.

A whole variety of events are taking place at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. On the 5th there is a screening of the NY Met production of La Boheme and on the 26th a live broadcast of their performance of Cosi Fan Tutte. Between the 8th & 12th April there are three performances celebrating Dylan Thomas. Under Milk Wood: An Opera, on the 8th, is a marvellous way to discover this wonderful piece of writing.

The play of Under Milk Wood is performed from 9th to 12th and on the 10th there is a literary event celebrating the work of both Dylan Thomas and Bob Dylan! More thought provoking drama is on offer 24th to 26th April with a production of Animal Farm. In the Brecon Beacons National Park on 12th April, a remarkable falconry experience can be enjoyed on the Hawk Walk, which includes the opportunity to fly the hawks yourself. In the centre of Brecon, on the 19th is the monthly Craft Fair where you can talk to the craftsman themselves of this unique collection of arts and crafts.

Erwood Station Craft Centre and Gallery are holding a Hedgehog Day on the 12th April; Howey Hedgehog Rescue will be there with these lovely creatures and there will be a hedgehog themed children’s craft workshop.

Get on your bike for the Hay-on-Wye Bike Fest 2014. There are lots of fun activities between the 25th & 27th April across all types of cycling. Whether you want quiet roads, long-distance cycle routes or trail riding, there is something for everyone here.

Gregynog Hall near Newtown is once again running their popular Easter Bunny Trail between the 18th & 21st April. Follow the clues in through the woodland, challenge yourself to the crazy golf and have your photo taken with the biggest bunnies in Montgomeryshire!! Visit Broneirion, a 150 year old house with wonderful grounds located at Llandinam between Newtown and Llanidloes, for the Charity Easter Food Fair and Easter Egg Hunt.

Sample mouth watering produce from across Wales and win an Easter egg once you have completed all the challenges of the hunt!
