There is plenty of family fun to be had at Penrhyn Castle, Bangor over the Easter weekend with entertaining challenges, Easter egg hunts and a steam rail experience at the castle’s railway museum.

For Easter Eggstravaganza in the outdoors, head over to the Greenwood Forest Park on the Saturday and Sunday. Guided Wildlife Walks, run by very knowledgeable volunteers, continue every Saturday throughout April at the RSPB Reserve Conwy and on Easter Sunday visitors can take part in an Easter Egg Hunt! A “small and friendly” Antique and Collectors Fair will be in Llandudno’s town hall on Easter Saturday and from 23rd to 26th April at Venue Cymru, Horrible Histories are in town with their Barmy Britain show exploring historical characters from Boudicca to Queen Victoria! Plas Newydd Historic House near Llanfairpwll on Anglesey has some great activities for families over the holidays. On the 16th and 23rd April take the challenge and see how many of the 50 things to do before you’re 11¾ you can complete.

For the Easter weekend itself, join the Cadbury Easter Trail, this year with a seaside theme. Seaquarium at Rhyl is celebrating the holidays with an Easter Eggstravaganza, running from 12th to 27th April. Take part in Easter themed activities as well as discovering marine species from all around the world and meeting the harbour seals! The whole family can enjoy the Ballet Theatre UK production of The Little Mermaid on the 17th at the Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl and The Wizard of Oz with well-known cast members is on the 22nd and 23rd April.

Wrexham plays host to Focus Wales, a four day festival of comedy and music, which kicks off on 23rd April featuring varied performances in multiple venues across the town. At the Clwyd Theatre Cymru 13th April sees a performance by the Eblana String Trio and the burlesque hit musical Miss Nightingale is on from 14th to 19th. On Easter Sunday, the whole family can take part in the Easter Egg Hunt at Wepre Park, Connah’s Quay. Follow the path the clues take you around the woodland walks, past the waterfall and castle! Or how about visiting the St Asaph Car & Motorbike Show with hundreds of exhibitors, trade stands and kids entertainment.
