What will your adventure be?

Written by Ginnie James on

This year the Visit Wales ads on focusing on the theme of Adventure - Croeso i 2016, ein Blwyddyn Antur of Welcome to our Year of Adventure 2016.

This got me thinking of the different interpretations of the idea of adventure. Most people, I imagine, would immediately picture scaling Snowdon or walking miles of coast path. That’s what I did, especially, I would have thought, as my Facebook has already been filled this year with friends seeming to have a great time with their families out and about in the Welsh landscape be it canoeing, snow hunting in forests or climbing mountains!

For me though this year I think my adventures will be on a smaller scale, but still no less exciting in their own way and just as important to me. A dolphin spotting boat trip is on the agenda with the girls from work which I am really looking forward to. We are aiming to head to New Quay on the Cambrian coast and while a sighting of the clever mammals themselves cannot be guaranteed it promises to be a lovely day out.

Another item on the 2016 to do list is pony trekking. My little girl sooooo wants to ride a horse… I don’t, but a mother’s love overrides a fear of horses (hopefully!) We will probably make our way down to the Brecon Beacons. Maybe once we are out in the beautiful countryside I will find myself enjoying the experience. If you don’t try you will never know!

What would your adventure be? Our team here in the office really do know Wales well so whatever you want to achieve during your holiday in Wales let us know and we will find the right property in the right location for you.

If you don’t have an adventure in mind, why not take a look at all the other information on our website from the Things to Do section, the different areas in Wales, each with their own special features, or our three National Parks.

We are looking forward to hearing from you to help you start your own Welsh Adventure!
