Ty Newydd Cottages
This group of cottages is converted from single storey outbuildings, in the grounds of the last home of Earl Lloyd George, within walking distance of the attractive little village of Llanystumdwy, which has a pub and the Lloyd George Museum, 2 miles from Criccieth, 6 miles from Porthmadog and 7 miles from Pwllheli. With two small cottages sleeping 2-4 and a larger cottage sleeping 6, together the three cottages will accommodate up to 14 people. Each cottage has a picnic bench outside, and shared grounds. There are walks from the door, including walks along the River Dwyfor and a footpath down to the beach, a mile away.
From Llanystumdwy, visit the stunning coastline of the Lleyn Peninsula with sandy beaches, coastal walking, pretty villages and the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park. There are plenty of attractions and places of interest nearby including Portmeirion, Porthmadog for Welsh Highland Railway, the bustling town of Pwllheli with shops, cafes, pubs and marina, and world famous castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech. Blaenau Ffestiniog, 18 miles, for slate caverns, Ffestiniog Railway, ZipWorld Titan and Bounce Below underground trampolines.
