Tranquillity awaits for a group of eight at this characterful barn set on a hillside overlooking the Shropshire countryside. Spacious, and combining characterful features with contemporary styling, this is a wonderful home-from-home.
Each of the rooms in this barn has beamed ceilings, and throughout the downstairs is stone-flagged flooring with underfloor heating. The Shaker-style kitchen has a contemporary island which is fabulous for socialising, and views from the window overlooking the garden. Once you have rustled up tasty dinners, you can all eat together in the stunning dining room which has an exposed stone wall, and an open staircase. When you are full and ready for some rest and relaxation, get cosy in the lounge in front of the warming wood burner, and flick on the TV, or get stuck into some games. A twin bedroom, and a utility room containing laundry facilities and a WC, complete the ground floor. Upstairs via the main staircase are two of the four bedrooms: a super-king-size with an en-suite bathroom, and a king-size bedroom with a further en-suite bathroom. Follow the staircase at the opposite end of the barn and you will find the final bedroom, a double with an en-suite bathroom containing a stylish slipper bath. Outside, you can enjoy panoramic countryside views from the large patio area and landscaped grounds. Dine alfresco and watch the sky turn dark and light up with stars around the wonderful fire pit.
Whitcliffe Common Nature Reserve is right on your doorstep with lovely peaceful walks alongside the river. The bustling market town of Ludlow (0.5 miles) has an abundance of eateries, bars, and shops so you can easily find something to whet everyone’s appetite. Further walks can be had along the scenic Shropshire Way (1.5 miles) or why not enjoy a day out exploring history at the medieval Stokesay Castle (8 miles)?
