This magnificent rural escape is nestled in the Herefordshire countryside, close to the England/Wales border. The property sleeps 16 guests and is a great base for large family get-togethers and holidays with friends. Enjoy memorable mealtimes around the vast dining table, before unwinding in the hot tub or taking a dip in the shared swimming pool. Nearby days out include the literary town of Hay-on-Wye (15 miles), with its plethora of book shops and antique stores, and the market town of Ludlow (18 miles), where you’ll find an impressive castle and excellent shops and eateries.

The stylish holiday home is bursting with characterful original features and a wealth of luxurious little extras to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The property has a choice of reception rooms, the first of which is ‘The Parley’. This versatile space houses a full media centre (specifications on request) and huge dining table, and can be used as a meeting room, dining room, or cinema room. ‘The Clock View’ is a quiet spot for enjoying cocktails or curling up with a good book, and ‘The Tack Room’ with its roaring open fire is a cosy space to unwind with a hot beverage or glass of wine after a long walk. Finally, ‘The Discourse’ is an impressive, double-height lounge with ample seating and a TV/DVD for enjoying movie nights as a group. The vast kitchen/diner has everything you need to cater for a large group, and you’ll also find an additional smaller kitchen within the property, as well as three kitchenettes, making self-catering a breeze. The property has four bedrooms on the ground floor and four upstairs. All the bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities. Outside, dine on the terrace, where you’ll find seating for everyone, or take a stroll amongst the pretty walled gardens followed by a soak in the hot tub or a stint in the sauna. You’ll have shared use of a heated outdoor pool, and there’s also a squash court, badminton court, and table tennis if you’re feeling energetic.

The picturesque village of Pembridge is 4.5 miles away. Enjoy a wander through its narrow streets, lined with listed buildings and black and white, half-timbered cottages, before grabbing a bite to eat in one of the friendly village inns. The attractive market town of Leominster is 12 miles away and has a good range of independent shops and eateries, as well as a fascinating museum detailing the town’s rich history. There are many National Trust properties in the area, including The Weir Garden, Croft Castle, and Berrington Hall.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Colloquy! It was comfortable and well equipped with plenty of space. The kids loved the garden! The huge round table was incredible to eat around, the large sitting room a great place to relax and the kitchen was sociable and had everything we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
