An elegant stone property with a pristine courtyard garden, situated on a working farm in the sleepy village of Rushbury. This tastefully designed cottage is ideal for families and friends seeking a relaxing retreat in the heart of the Apedale Valley. Peruse the beautifully preserved medieval manor house of Stokesay Castle (11.5 miles), then stretch out for an al fresco sharing lunch on the patio.

This chic country escape boasts a carefully styled interior with a chalk-white colour palette, stone tiling, rustic wooden beams, and crisp minimalist styling. Step beneath the bricked archway and unlace muddy boots at the door. Pad into the kitchen/diner, flooded with natural light. Flick on the kettle and plate up some nibbles in the sleek shaker kitchen then perch at the breakfast table with a brew. Venture further into the property to discover a bright lounge/diner. Rope in some little helpers to assist with laying the wooden table, then settle in for a sociable evening feast. After supper, snuggle up on the plump sofas with a tipple. Flick through the TV or whip out some board games for an evening of wholesome fun. When night falls, ascend the wooden staircase to the sleeping areas. Choose from a spacious en-suite double, a double with garden views, and an airy twin. Early risers can sip their morning coffee from the patio and drink in the tranquil countryside surroundings. When the rest of the pack rises, stroll the farm grounds and wave hello to the resident animals.

Visit the bustling historic town of Church Stretton (4.5 miles) to scoff fresh bakes and peruse local craft stores. Keen cyclists can attempt to tackle the rugged terrain of the Long Mynd Route (accessible within 5 miles) while the historians stroll the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site (14.5 miles).

Very smart cottage with all mod cons. Good hot showers plus a bath, nice bedding and towels, good Wi-Fi. Spacious rooms too. We enjoyed the location which allowed us to tour many National Trust and English Heritage sites as well as Ironbridge and Shrewsbury. Really lovely cottage in a beautiful location within very easy distance of Long Mynd and plenty of walks. The barn conversion has been done beautifully and the accommodation is really spacious and airy. We stayed as a family of 5 and had a lovely time. Will almost certainly return in the future.

Property is in a good location and is large and comfortable. Beds are comfortable and we all slept well. We enjoyed seeing the hens and horse nearby and walking around the very quiet village. The entrance and directions to the property could be better but we found it eventually!

Lovely barn conversion in a beautiful rural spot. Plenty of downstairs living space, plus three good sized bedrooms, for six adults to stay here comfortably. Low key farm yard activity, chickens, ponies & cat. Dark skies and owls at night.

Situated in a very quiet village, plenty of space for 6 adults, more than one bathroom, huge kitchen, comfortable beds, off road parking, a short drive (10 minutes) to the nearest town, ideal location for easy access to the Long Mynd and other attractions. It was a fabulous place to stay for our meet-up of old school friends. Beautifully appointed, lovely farmyard setting, food shop 10-15 mins drive away. Went to David Austin Roses and had dinner at The Feathers Inn at Brockton, both wonderful.
