This is an exceptional cottage: full of character but faultlessly equipped and much less stark than most dog-friendly holiday lets. The situation on the forest edge is delightful and totally peaceful: the access track posed no problems. The main interest of Clyro nowadays is the Kilvert connection, but Hay is full of interest and only five minutes Read moreaway. What we saw of the surrounding country through the mist and murk made us want to return and explore it in better weather. Hide

The house is equipped with everything, really everything you could possibly think of. The area is quiet, the house itself wonderful and cosy, in the summer it is still cold inside. The house was a lovely retreat, very close to Hay but in a little world of its own. The lane and turning round was somewhat challenging but we managed perfectly well after getting the hang of it. The flowers in the garden were charming and a lovely addition.
