Explore the picturesque borderlands of Wales and Shropshire from this impressive townhouse in Ludlow. Sleeping seven guests, the three-bedroom, four-storey retreat is ideal for a multi-generational family or a group of friends. With a wealth of character and space, plus a charming courtyard for outdoor relaxation, the Grade II-listed holiday home is well-placed for the shops and eateries of the market town as well as fantastic walking countryside.

Return from your excursions to find yourselves in the kitchen/diner where you can unpack the fresh produce you have bought and pop dinner into the AGA to roast. Gaze out over the pretty garden as you pour a glass of wine then call everyone through to join you at the table. While away your evenings on the first floor of the house, where both the lounge and the formal drawing room are situated. Play games, make plans for the following day or watch a good film on the Smart TV together. As the day draws to a close, head up to the third and fourth storeys, where your bedrooms and bathrooms are situated. A double bedroom and a family room are on the third floor, while another double, with a TV/DVD and dressing room, is on the top floor. The townhouse benefits from a family bathroom and a family shower room. Spill out into the garden to bask in the sunshine. A handy utility room can also be accessed here and there is ample space for outside dining or relaxing together under the stars on summer evenings.

Head just 1.5 miles from the house to the magnificent Shropshire Hills. Venture 13 miles to Bucknell to enjoy a section of the Offa’s Dyke Path which follows much of the borderline between Wales and England.

This is a beautiful house, very clean and well cared-for. There is lots of room and the beds are extremely comfortable. Bed-linen and towels are good quality, and smell freshly-washed, rather than of fabric conditioner. There are also no nasty perfume-producing gadgets in the plug-sockets; so welcome for anyone with hay-fever or asthma. Beautiful house in the middle of the town, near the Ludlow castle. 3 floors and old staircases could be challenging for people with limited mobility but all bedrooms and bathrooms are so nice and confortable that overall we had a wonderful time with our family.

Ideal central location for shops and market, & only 10 minutes walk to the train station. Very comfortable well equipped house, useful to have a work area we could leave the laptop set up in. Pub next door did not disturb us, and serves a nice pint. Some interesting walks in the surrounding areas too.
