Immerse yourselves in the history and vibrancy of Tenby when you retreat to this apartment within the old town walls. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, West Wales bolthole sits on the third floor and is a perfect choice for couples or a small family. Just 150 metres from the castle, it is the same distance from Castle Beach and from sandy North Beach, which is a popular place to swim and indulge in water sports.

Make your way in and ascend three storeys via the staircase to enter your private quarters. Slide off your flip-flops or walking boots and leave your beach bags in the hall before ambling through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This airy space has a contemporary feel and has been designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. Prepare home-cooked meals in the kitchen, using the fresh ingredients you have bought in Tenby, then set the table for a celebratory meal. Settle down on the soft seating to a movie on TV or spend the evening making plans for the next day’s adventures in West Wales. Alternatively, simply watch the world go by from the window looking out across this corner of Tenby. As the day draws to a close, head through to one of the two welcoming double bedrooms. There is also a family bathroom, where you can shower after a day on the beach or enjoy a long, hot soak after an exhilarating walk. Unfortunately, there is no outside space with this apartment but you can stroll up to Castle Hill for some greenery and fresh air.

Book a seal safari or trip out to see the puffins on Caldey Island from the harbour. Pick up the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and walk 4.5 miles to Saundersfoot, looking out for dolphins and porpoises as you go.

The bedrooms were excellent and appeared to have been recently decorated along with the kitchen and living area. The bed and sofas were very comfortable and in good condition. The location was perfect being in the town centre and only a few minutes walk to the seafront. A new bathroom would make all the difference and a few low cost extras such as Read morea welcome pack, which a number of holiday lets do, would be good. Hide

In great location, so close to everything. Stayed with three young children - plenty of space. Great to have blackout blinds in bedrooms. Beds very comfy, very high pillows though. 3rd floor up so not for the faint hearted with lifting luggage. Some equipment in kitchen needs updating. Wasnt the cleanest with vodka left in freezer and a half drank Read moreFanta in fridge, hairs in bed, not been hoovered well with items left on floor. Had cleanliness been better would have rated much higher. Hide

Great location and good size apartment but needed cleaning. The towels were stained, unhoovered and the kitchen appliances need an update. A great apartment which was let down by a lack of cleaning. There is some weekend noise as you're on the main street but this is not a problem.
