Enjoying a peaceful location within the Monmouthshire countryside, this environmentally friendly barn makes a super base for family, friends and two dogs no matter what the occasion or time of year.
Join friends and family in this delightful barn conversion, just outside the village of Llandenny and 2 miles from Raglan. You’ll find endless walks to explore in the area, either directly from the property or, further afield, in the Wye Valley and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), both within 20 miles. Nearby attractions include Raglan Castle (3.5 miles) and Tintern Abbey (12 miles).
The single-storey holiday home is decorated in a contemporary style, with neutral tones, homely touches, and cosy underfloor heating. The main living area is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a glowing wood burner and far-reaching countryside views. Relax here, after a day of exploring, snuggled up on the corner sofa as you watch a movie on the Smart TV/DVD, or trying out new recipes using fresh, local ingredients in the stylish kitchen area. Taking centre stage is a dining table with bench seating to accommodate everyone. The property has three inviting bedrooms, accessed via a couple of steps and all with characterful, exposed beams. These bedrooms include two double rooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a welcoming twin. Completing the interior is a well-appointed family bathroom. Outside, dine alfresco or toast marshmallows around the fire pit in the enclosed, shared garden. There’s also an enclosed paddock that’s perfect for furry guests.
Journey into the pretty village of Raglan to potter around its independent shops, before refuelling in one of the friendly village pubs. The village is also home to the impressive medieval fortress of Raglan Castle. Abergavenny, known as the gateway to Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, is 11.5 miles away. The town is a real haven for foodies, with artisan shops selling local produce, regular farmers’ markets, and a fantastic array of independent restaurants.
