Full of character, this lovely shepherd’s hut features a traditional corrugated, curved roof and, inside, is clad all over in warm, rustic timber. Enter via three wooden steps to the side and on to the front deck, then head through double doors to find the charming, open-plan space, which has beautiful views over the fields. To your right, there’s a sweet kitchen, compact but nevertheless equipped for you to cook delicious holiday meals and snacks, with a small dining table and two comfortable armchairs. To your left, a king-size bed and a Smart TV – ideal for lazy lie-ins. A door leads to your fully functioning, en-suite shower room. Head back out to the front and you’ll find a bench seat that’s perfect for a relaxing morning with a good book, plus a hot tub to one side where you can soak away after a day’s outdoor adventures. The brick patio to the other side boasts a built-in BBQ where you can experiment with grilling delicious local produce and enjoy the sunshine while your furry friends play in the safely enclosed garden.
The hut is located on a boutique glamping park just 3 miles from Rhayader, known as the outdoors capital of Wales. Try out all kinds of activities from stargazing to kayaking, watch the red kites feeding, or simply indulge yourself with some retail therapy or a meal out. Explore the Elan Valley on foot or by bike, wander the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells, 14 miles, or follow the trails to the world-famous Devil’s Bridge Falls, 24 miles.
