Cosy and bursting with character, this romantic abode is a perfect location for a retreat for two. Boasting a traditional wood burner, exposed beams and eclectic decor, this charming, listed cottage is a place you’re sure to remember fondly for many years to come. Situated near Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, you’ll find a wealth of architecture, history, and lovely local shops to peruse on a day out with your loved one.

At the heart of the home is the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner which has been thoughtfully updated to create a charming yet practical space. Sprawl out on the leather sofa in front of the fire for an evening of relaxation, or get your creative juices flowing in the compact kitchen and rustle up your favourite homemade dishes. Blending pastel tones with natural wood, the decor is warm and welcoming with a hint of freshness which will help you to really make the most of your holiday. Completing the ground floor is the tiled shower room with a sleek finish. Upstairs, you’ll find a double bedroom with a skylight for stargazing set into the beautiful, vaulted ceiling. The garden comprises an area of lawn and a decked area to allow you to make the most of sunny weather, be it with a morning coffee on the picnic bench or dining alfresco as the sun sets.

Those who love to be beside the sea will enjoy a walk on the Wales Coast Path, accessible within just 2 miles from Porthgain with routes towards Abercastle and Aberiddy where you’ll find blissful beaches to stop off at for a rest. You could take a trip to the seaside town of Fishguard (10 miles) for a spot of lunch at a local cafe before heading off on an invigorating walk to Strumble Head (6 miles) where you’ll be rewarded with rugged coastal views and, if you’re lucky, sighting of rare local wildlife such as dolphins.
