History buffs will want to visit the market town of Lampeter and explore the fascinating local heritage sites, including Dinefwr Park (23 miles), a 12th-century castle, house and park where you may spot deer, Llanerchaeron (10.5 miles), an 18th-century estate, and the Dolaucothi Goldmines (8.5 miles) established in Roman times.
