An enticing, rustic hideaway, with slate walls and exposed beams, this exquisite cottage makes a magnificent, romantic retreat. Nestled in a beautiful valley outside the small village of Llanglydwen, 11.5 miles from Narberth, in West Wales, it is set on a tranquil, exclusive site with a shared swimming pool, sauna and spa pool. The one-bedroom cottage is perfect for couples wanting to explore all of West Wales. With views towards the Preseli Hills, the area is a haven for wildlife and for spending time in the great outdoors. Enjoy walks in the pristine countryside surrounding the property and the nearby Preseli Hills. The closest beaches are Poppit Sands, 16.4 miles to the north, and Wiseman’s Bridge 17.5 miles to the south. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path surrounds the coastline from the cottage and the popular town of Tenby is 21.5 miles away, where you can also savour the colour of the seaside town.

Climb the slate steps up to this delightful abode, which was cleverly created within a character-laden former barn. Enter to find welcoming, split-level accommodation, with wooden floors, exposed timbers and revealed stonework. The kitchen/diner is on the main level of the open-plan living area. Here, glass has been fitted into an original archway to bring the garden views right inside as you dine together. There is also a door that can be opened on warm days to bring in a summer breeze and give access to your private, courtyard area. The kitchen has been fitted out with everything you need to help you rustle up romantic meals for two, and there is a farmhouse table to dine at. There is also a bookshelf with a selection of good reads to choose from. Steps from the kitchen/diner lead down into the lounge, where comfortable seating has been arranged around an attractive, rounded chimney breast that houses the wood burner. Light a fire, sink back into the sofa and find your favourite programme on the TV. There is also a shower room, with WC. Climb the steps up from the kitchen/diner to discover your inviting double bedroom up on the mezzanine level. This has a vaulted ceiling and lovely views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.

Take four steps down from the kitchen/diner to sit outside in your beautiful, courtyard garden. Here you can cook on the BBQ, pop open a bottle of wine and look out over the shared lawn and peaceful, mature gardens as the sun goes down. Make the most of the fabulous, shared leisure facilities during your stay too. These include an indoor, heated swimming pool, plus a sauna and hot tub. Guests also have access to a shared laundry room. There is private parking for two cars in a shared, on-site courtyard.
