Ironman Wales 2019 - Accommodation
One of the biggest events in the sporting year, Ironman Wales comes to Tenby and Pembrokeshire each September. Taking place on the 15th of September in 2019 and known as one of the World's most challenging Ironman events.
The Ironman Wales chanllenge consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bicycle ride and if that's not enough for you, finish it all off with a 26.2 mile marathon! Although, with the wonderful scenery and terrain of Pembrokeshire to enjoy, it will make it all worthwhile when you cross the finish line.
With Pembrokeshire being voted Country File's Holiday Destination for 2018, you'd be missing a trick to come this far without making a holiday of it. Bring your family and friends along to enjoy what Tenby and Pembrokeshire has to offer. Whether outdoorsy or more into your creature comforts, Pembrokeshire has it all! Admire some of the most stunning coastal scenery in Britain by walking some (or all) of the 186 miles of coastal path, which hugs the coastline from St Dogmaels in the North to Amroth in the South.
Of course there's nothing like a pint of local real ale in a great pub with coastal views at the end of good walk, and remember, you can use one of the local bus services (Puffin Shuttle, Poppit Rocket, Strumble Shuttle, Celtic Coaster, and Coastal Cruiser to name a few) to take you back to your holiday home.
For those of you who fancy a bit more of a restful time of it, there's more than enough to keep you occupied. St Davids Cathedral in the small picturesque town of St Davids is not to be missed, and just a short drive away you will come across the delightful village of Solva, with great shops, pubs and restaurants. Further afield in the heart of Pembrokeshire is the small market town of Narberth, brimming with independent shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and even a castle! And to top it all off, and to keep the children happy, visit Folly Farm, the home of peruvian penguins, giraffes and even lions! With other highlights including an adventure play area and a vintage funfair...
As we said, Pembrokeshire has it all!
