A group of beautifully restored farm cottages overlooking glorious countryside offers a perfect base for exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park, just 7 miles away. Sleeping 19 guests, the three secluded properties are full of character and ideal for a large gathering of families or friends. On-site attractions for all ages include two hot tubs, a games room, a playground for young children, and even your own mountain bike track in nearby private woodland. Lovely walks and cycle tracks are within 200 metres and up to six dogs are welcome.

These thoughtfully planned holiday homes sleep, respectively, five, six and eight guests. Delightfully furnished, they have exposed beams throughout and wonderful scenic views. The largest cottage has a dining area with tables that can be pushed together to seat all 19 guests for special occasions. It also houses a wood burner and a spacious sunroom overlooking the valley below. The other cottages have cosy wood burner-effect electric fires and share a secure, interconnecting door. Outside, is a large patio with furniture, a BBQ and the hot tubs, undercover but open to the spectacular view.

Stock up on tasty local produce from a bakery in the hamlet of Merthyr Cynong (1 mile). There are more shops and restaurants in the attractive spa town of Builth Wales (8 miles). Head to the bustling market town of pretty Brecon (10 miles), to find a great range of walks and mountain bike rides for all abilities on the magnificent Beacons. Or explore the towpath along the tranquil Monmouthshire and Brecon canal, on foot, by hired bike or aboard one of the many boat trips. The beautiful River Usk, renowned for its salmon, runs through the town and day permits for fishing are available.

We booked these cottages as a group of 11 friends. We all agreed that they were comfortable and well equipped in an outstandingly beautiful location. The hot tubs were a real plus and were used by most of us by turns. The cottage with the largest living are was great for us all to congregate, eat together, play music and games and chat. Although weRead more paid more for these cottages per person than we usually would we felt that it had been money well spent and we had a wonderful time together over the weekend, including Oscar the dog. We had a fantastic time. Our whole family was able to come including a very new baby. Great to have the cottages separate but close and safe area around for the children to play together. Lovely space to congregate for meals in the big house. But also good to be able to retreat to the peace and quiet of a separate cottage. We made lots of good memoRead moreries that we'll treasure. Hot tubs were great, and games room fun. Only negative was some of the equipment in the games room had been broken by some previous visitors. It has beautiful views and plenty to do in the area. The hot tubs and games room were great on wet days. We will be booking again for next year.

This property exceeded all of my expectations. The views are stunning and the property is so secluded , couldnt see another house for miles. Very safe for children and dogs to play outside. The property is beautiful and looked after well. The hosts are lovely and we felt at home here. I would highly recommend.

Ideal for our family weekend (9 adults/9 children). Split over 3cottages with the largest suitable for us to prepare and eat our meals together. Games room gave extra facility and space for indoor play when raining. Exceeded our expectations, would use again.

Lovely property and location with amazing panoramic views. Shame the games room was not too good but a new one is being constructed and the excellent weather meant it wasnt a problem during our stay.

In general we found the cottages to be set in a beautiful location (as described on the website). However the games room is in a very sorry state and hasnt been looked after. All sports equipment inside were damaged or incomplete. Maybe this is due to the owners attention being focused on the new games room being built. The outdoor play ground had Read morebeen removed and relocated away from use. This might have been because it was damaged, or deemed dangerous. I strongly believe these point should have been brought to my attention prior to our arrival. The outdoor cigarette bins were over flowing and hadnt been empty for sometime. As a family of non-smokers this left an unpleasant smell around them. The properties were found in a good state but in need of a good dusting and some TLC. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly even tended to the unpleasant job of clearing a blockage, caused by previous holiday makers, to the toilet system. However the warmth of the owners, coupled with the beauty of the location outweigh all negative points. Would love to return in the not so distant future. Hide

This was such a beautiful place, the cottages were just stunning and the views, the room we all had was amazing. Pictures dont do this place justice at all!! We came away for my husband 40th birthday but will definitely be returning next year for our annual Xmas get together. It had everything we needed. Just bring your own food and drinks and you Read moredont need anything else. The owners brought us more logs to put on the fire which was really nice too. Such a lovely place to stay. Great cottages and views.A bit far out,but mainly no WFi in one cottage.Most people need it these days especially youngsters.But a brilliant holiday!
