Description
This gorgeous and characterful, former mill was built in the 1800s from stone. It is located on the river and is a perfect place to relax and unwind. This Brecon pet-friendly holiday cottage (2 dogs allowed) also has its own private hot tub and a balcony over the river, you can even sit out and watch the salmon leaping in the Autumn. Almost every room has a river view. There are great walks from the cottage and it is an ideal place to enjoy the tranquility or to be as active as possible with great mountain biking, road cycling, walking and much more all on hand within the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Warm and cosy lounge with log burner in a feature inglenook fireplace. TV, Internet / DAB radio, and Blue ray- DVD player. Comfy sofas sit up to 6.
Fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, washing machine and dryer, small breakfast bar overlooking the river.
Dining room with patio door opening out on to balcony over the river. Dining Table to sit 6.

Master bedroom with double bed, storage and river views.

Private hot tub, perfect to relax in and enjoy the sound of the river following alongside.
Balcony over the river has a decked area (please ensure children are supervised on balcony) and a small coffee table and 2 chairs.
Side garden has riverside views. It comprises a secure paved area with a garden table to sit 4 and a chiminea for heating or alfresco dining.
Additional Information
Welcome pack on arrival comprising of milk, Welsh cake (Bara Brith) or Welsh biscuits, tea, coffee, and sugar. A bottle of wine is also included for guests staying for a full week.
Bed linen, towels and soap are provided.

Parking for 1 car on the paved drive; more free off road parking available if required, 50 yards away over a bridge beside the river.

Pets welcome (max 2) at £15 per dog. Pets must be kept out of bedrooms and off furniture. This is a rural location, so dogs should be kept under control around nearby farmland.
Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury and Waitrose all deliver here. Morrison's and Co-op are only 5 miles away in Brecon along with great local suppliers.

Location
Located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Park covers 520 square miles and includes spectacular mountain walks and countryside. The town of Brecon is 5 miles away and has many unique shops to explore. The River Usk (also famous for its salmon fishing ) runs through the town and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal starts here. This canal runs on for a further 35 miles through the Brecon Beacons National Park. The towpath is a great walk and boats can be hired. Also worth a visit is Hay-on-Wye. The Hay Festival is held annually and is a world renowned festival of literature and arts.
There are several great places to eat in the area including the Felin Fach Griffin, while the Hardwick is slightly further away but a renowned award winner. The spa town of Builth Wells is only 13 miles away, home to the Royal Welsh Show, Winter Fair and Spring Show and has many shops, restaurants and pubs serving great local produce. This is salmon fishing country and the Wye that flows through Builth Wells is well known as one of the UK's premier salmon rivers.
There are many other attractions in the area including Cantref Fun Farm and Adventure Centre, great for families it has many activities, both indoor and outdoor to suit all weathers. The city of Cardiff is also less than an hour away and is a great day out for a shopping spree or to experience one of the large sporting events that take place there.
Walking
You can walk directly from the cottage with mountain, trail and riverside walks. Information on a selection of local walk provided. 0.1 miles.
Fishing
Excellent fishing nearby and also permits available for the River Ysgir Fawr that runs next to the cottage.
Golf
Cradoc Golf Club is a gorgeous 18 hole course, and Brecon Golf Course is also nearby. 3.4 miles.
Horse Riding
Cantref Riding Centre also includes an activity and adventure centre. Trekking lessons and trails available. 10 miles.
Cycling
Perfect territory for road cycling, quiet road and great climbs or flats to suit. 0.1 miles.
Bike Park Wales is a fantastic facility with some of the best mountain biking in the UK. 23 miles.
Major Events in the area include:
Royal Welsh Show, The Guardian Hay Festival and the Brecon Jazz Festival. Other major events at the Royal Welsh Showground include the 'Winter Fair' and the 'Spring Festival'.
