Description

Rhosferig Lodge is located at the end of a one mile private drive, on Rhosferig Estate, on the banks of the River Wye, with farm land either side. The lodge is elegant and stylish, with amazing riverside views from most of the rooms, especially the master bedroom which opens onto a large balcony where you can relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings. Well-equipped with modern furnishings as well as a traditional aga, a welcoming log burner in the spacious, comfortable drawing room, and a games room with a 3/4 size Snooker table and the most magnificent views. A smart, well-cared for, enclosed garden with wonderful views of the River Wye, features a built in charcoal barbecue and luxury furniture, making it perfect for al fresco dining, and is safe for children and dogs.

The Lodge is located approximately 2 miles from the small town of Builth Wells, with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, including the locals’ favourite cafe, the timber-windowed Cosy Corner, for some old-fashioned restorative cawl or bara brith. Some great eating options can be found a little further afield, including The Griffin at Felin Fach and The Greyhound at Aberedw. The Wye Valley Walk is right on your doorstep and the Brecon Beacons National Park is just 25 minutes away, great for walking and cycling. Builth Wells Golf Club is just along the road and although fishing is not permitted on the Estate, day tickets are available to nearby private beats. For a relaxing drive and to enjoy stunning views, take the drive upto Elan Valley Lakes, including Aberystwyth mountain road.

Reviews

Spectacular accomodation in a completely picturesque setting. The lodge is fantastic and fitted out with everything you need and has super comfortable beds. Already booked to go back! Love it!

Miss B,

A very rural retreat. A very comfortable property with stunning views. Watch the heron on the river and the red kites in the sky, the cows and sheep in the surrounding pastures. The only noises are from the animals and the occasional plane, helicopter or RAF jet. The property has pretty much everything you need but as we have just had extraordinarily hot weather this last week we were glad we had taken a couple of fans as there were none available. Would recommend this property for those wanting a very peaceful hideaway but with quaint villages nearby and other attractions.

Mr O,

Beautiful location, very relaxing. Paddle-boarding and walking all so close by. Would definitley go back.

Dr N,

Rhosferig Lodge made an ideal and serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle in a stunning location with beautiful views. A well designed lodge and it was immaculate with everything we needed for comfort and an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend.

Mrs M,

Amazing lodge in a beautiful location. Everything you could imagine was provided for. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We took our 2 children and puppy and was ideal secure location for all of us to enjoy. We will definitely be booking again, although looks like it won’t be till end of year as it’s booked up!
