A cosy cottage in idyllic rural surroundings is perfect for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists who want to explore the beautiful Mid Wales landscape. The pet-friendly holiday home sleeps six guests across three bedrooms and has lovely original features. The secluded cottage is moments from the long-distance Epynt Way footpath and cycle route, while the market town of Builth Wells, with its shops, and eateries, is within 6 miles.

The semi-detached retreat is spacious and full of character, with traditional latched wooden doors throughout. There are ceiling beams above comfortable seating in the lounge, where a magnificent stone fireplace houses a wood burner. The large kitchen has a country-style dining area, with a shower cubicle completing the ground-floor layout. Stairs from the lounge lead to three pretty bedrooms: two doubles and a twin. The master bedroom features ceiling beams and wooden furniture, while the remaining two have delightful sloping ceilings. Outside, a large, enclosed patio with garden furniture is a secluded spot to sit and enjoy the tranquil setting. Guests are welcome to explore the farm belonging to the adjacent farmhouse and there are lovely scenic walks along local footpaths.

The cottage is also within 275 metres of the Epynt Way, a 50-mile trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The route runs through moorland, mountains and river valleys, with stunning views along the way. Builth Wells has a regular country market offering fresh local produce, as well as a bustling arts centre with a cinema and theatre. You can also enjoy a walk along the River Wye, which runs close by. The cottage was a gem, the owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and there were plenty of lovely walks. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning. Although our week was wet and dreary, it didn't detract from the beauty of the location and we spent the damp evenings playing games in front of the log burner. Definitely recommend iRead moret for a relaxing break away from the frenetic pace of life. Hide

This is a very peaceful holiday cottage. It is very clean and comfortable. A log stove is a bonus if you want to light it at any time. The garden is fenced all the way round so secure for dogs. The owners dogs are very quiet and gentle. I have two tiny chihuahuas and they were great with my dogs. A sunny patio for drinks and relaxing. We had an lovRead moreely stay here. Hide

This was a lovely cottage , great for walks, dogs and beautiful scenery. It was very clean with comfy beds. Ideal for scenery and walking. Loved the wood stove in the evenings. Ideal if you want a quiet cosy holiday get away. The farmer was friendly and we loved his dogs. A beautiful place to stay and we'd consider booking there again.
