Little Bettws is a compact self-contained annexe to the owners' home, a converted Victorian School in the heart of the beautiful Radnorshire countryside. This provides the perfect location for a peaceful holiday exploring the many footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes throughout the unspoilt surroundings. The hamlet of Bettws, with its pretty little church adjacent to the property, is just 1.5 miles from Hundred House, 8 miles from Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells. Dogs are welcome at Little Bettws and the owners have several of their own.
The accommodation has two radiators run off the owners’ central heating system, electric radiator, convector heater and shower room fan heater to supplement. The cottage is accessed by French doors from the garden and comprises:
Bed-sitting room: with single bed, pull-out single (full sized), two small easy chairs, pine table with two bench stools, wall-mounted TV and DVD player. WiFi is available (although this is not always reliable due to the rural location).
Kitchen: galley-style, with fitted units, electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washer/dryer.
Shower Room: smart, contemporary shower room with electric shower in good-sized enclosure, WC and basin.
Outside: the annexe has its own fully enclosed, private orchard garden, with small patio area and garden furniture. The owners make cider from the many apples growing in the garden. Guests also have access to 5 acres of the owners' grounds, including steep steps and footpath down to the River Edw, and two wildflower meadows, designated an SSSI. Further walks on the owners' land nearby. Lockable bike storage and stabling are also available by prior arrangement.
Parking: at the edge of the garden for one car.
Hundred House, with pub serving meals, is 1.5 miles away. The Wye Valley Walk passes through the market town of Builth Wells, 8 miles away, and Llandrindod Wells, also 8 miles distant, is home to the National Cycle Museum. The trip across the moors to Llandrindod Wells, by car, on foot or by bike, provides some wonderful panoramic views. The 'book town' of Hay-on-Wye is only 15 miles away and the beautiful Elan Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park are both within 30 miles.

Home from home, we will be back!!
The local area is very attractive, rural and unspoilt. Llandrindod Wells is an unexpected historical town with many late Victorian and Edwardian buildings, well preserved and a good place for a few hours' walk round. The Hotel Metropole allows dogs and does an excellent lunch. From the property it's a few miles to a decent pub doing food in the evening.
We enjoyed our stay. Mrs Powell was very helpful and the property was dog-friendly (so the dogs enjoyed it too!) Although it was in a fairly isolated spot, this actually encouraged us to explore the surrounding area more.
Great for dogs - safe fully enclosed garden
Kitchen facilities/equipment were thoughtfully selected in that everything required for cooking was there and was not a mish mash of useless or multiple items. The hosts were very pleasant but not intrusive.
A really lovely small cottage in an orchard. Completely tranquil and very comfortable.
We could not have found a more peaceful location for our holiday and the orchard was ideal for the dogs to have outdoor space
Great little cottage for 1 or 2 people, in a quite position, the owners were very friendly and helpful, Great service from Wales Holiday's I will use them again. Nice and cosy cottage.
