Y Beudy is one of a group of cottages converted from former farm buildings, adjacent to the owners' farmhouse surrounding by the gently rolling hills of Mid Wales, two miles from Caersws, six miles west of Newtown. This cottage is in the middle of the group, in a courtyard setting but with its own parking and entrance at the far end of the group, and provides comfortable accommodation for two couples or a small family. The cottage retains some original beams and high ceilings, and is furnished and equipped to a high standard.

The sitting room has leather sofas, an electric flame-effect stove, FreeSat TV and DVD player, and patio door opening onto the shared lawned grounds to the front of the property. The good-sized kitchen diner is also light and bright, with a second patio door, and includes a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dining table and four chairs; a welcome tray is provided. The ground floor double bedroom, with FreeSat TV, has a shower room immediately adjacent. The first floor bedroom (open to the wooden staircase which rises from the sitting room, has a king size bed, FreeSat TV, and an en suite shower room. The property has full gas central heating and WiFi, and there is good mobile reception in the area.

Outside, the cottage has its own patio table and chairs, and shared lawned grounds with views over the surrounding countryside.  Guests have access to facilities on the owners' small static caravan park, including a games room at the end of the row of cottages, with table tennis and coin-operated pool table, laundry, payphone, children's play area and a collection of books and games to borrow.

There is coarse fishing on site (carp, tench and roach) in stocked pools. Caersws, two miles away, has a petrol station and convenience store, pub and mainline railway station, as well as a small Art Gallery. Newtown, six miles away, has a range of shops and supermarkets, leisure centre, golf course, small cinema, gallery and museum. Twenty miles east is Welshpool, with Powis Castle and Welshpool-Llanfair Caereinion Light Railway. This peaceful Mid Wales location provides easy access to Rhayader and the Elan Valley to the south, the historic town of Machynlleth and the south Snowdonia National Park to the north west.  The coast at Aberystwyth or Aberdyfi is about an hour's drive away.

Y Beudy is one of a group of three cottages, which can be booked together to accommodate groups of up to 10. Please see Gellidywyll Cottages for full details.
