We had a lovely time at Threshing Barn and the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had gone for a metal detecting weekend which was around 30 minutes drive from the cottage so this was a great base and allowed us to spend the weekend with friends partaking in our favourite hobby whilst having the comfort of a soft bed, shower and toileRead moret as opposed to the limited amenities of the campsite! I marked down slightly on cleanliness and comfort for 2 reasons. Firstly there were a few cobwebs in the ceiling, however as this is a former barn and in a very rural location this is to be expected. Second reason was that the windows do not open very far. We were lucky to have some amazing weather, but this did mean the house got a bit warm through the day, particularly upstairs. There was a fan available and we took this upstairs which provided some comfort but an open window would have provided a bit more of a comfortable night! Apart from those 2 very minor things, everything was perfect. As I said the owners were very friendly and we spent time talking to them both, the location is fantastic for evening strolls and walks with the dogs. There is an enclosed meadow with a stream that the boys loved. Finding the house was very easy and parking not a problem. Mobile signal is best with o2 apparently which is who we are with so we had no problems but apparently other networks may struggle. Wifi in the house is pretty good too. Thanks very much, we hope to visit again in the future!! Tom & Marie Hide
