Description

Gors is a delightful, detached stone cottage standing on its own down a short lane off the A458, 3.5 miles west of the small town of Llanfair Caereinion and 12 miles from Welshpool.

Maintaining its character throughout, the cottage has some low beams, is situated next to a small stream (fenced) and it's own gated paddock, ideal for children and pets.

Ground floor

Lovely traditional beamed sitting room with a leather suite, Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player, WiFi and a woodburning stove in the inglenook fireplace. Window and glazed door with views of the garden and small stream. Guest paintings of this picture perfect cottage adorn the walls.

Small dining room with oak table and cushioned chairs.

Archway leading to kitchen with fitted units, includes a fridge/freezer and washing machine. Glazed door leading to lawned garden.

Shower room is fully tiled and contains shower, wash basin, WC, radiator and illuminated mirror with shaver point.

Upstairs

Twin bedroom with pine furniture has a garden view.

Box room with a 2'6" single bed for occasional use by a child, bedside cabinet with lamp and hanging space.

Exterior

Outside is a small lawn and new paved patio area with garden furniture, parasol and a barbecue, bordered by a picturesque stream (fenced).   The cottage is set down a small driveway, but is open to the main road; children and pets to be supervised outside.  An enclosed paddock adjacent is ideal for exercising your dog. Fishing on the River Banwy is available by arrangement with the owner and there's also coarse fishing nearby. Llanfair, as it's known locally, has a few small shops and pubs and is at one end of the Welshpool & Llanfair Caereinion Light Railway. Excellent walking in the area and it is just a short drive to the south eastern edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
