Description

Gors is a delightful, detached stone cottage standing on its own down a short lane off the A458, 3.5 miles west of the small town of Llanfair Caereinion and 12 miles from Welshpool.

Maintaining its character throughout and with some low beams, the cottage has a double and a twin bedroom and a box room with a 2'6" single bed. Downstairs is a shower room, a dining room with an archway leading to the fitted kitchen, which includes a fridge/freezer and washing machine, and a lovely traditional beamed sitting room with a leather suite, Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player and a woodburning stove in the fireplace.

Outside is a small lawn and patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue, bordered by a stream (fenced).   The cottage is set down, but the driveway is open to the main road; children and pets to be supervised outside.  An enclosed paddock adjacent is ideal for exercising your dog. Fishing on the River Banwy is available by arrangement with the owner and there's also coarse fishing nearby. Llanfair, as it's known locally, has a few small shops and pubs and is at one end of the Welshpool & Llanfair Caereinion Light Railway. Excellent walking in the area and it is just a short drive to the south eastern edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

Electricity included; oil-fired central heating @ £25/week

Bed linen and towels provided.

Cot and high chair available by arrangement.

No smoking inside please.

Mrs Carolyn B,

Gors was a beautiful cottage, wonderful location and the children loved the stream. Mr & Mrs Jones the owners were wonderful and the home-made Bara Brith was very welcome and eaten within minutes! We were a family of 2 adults, 3 children and 1 dog and it was perfect. Great location for exploring the coast, caves, mines and railways.

Mrs Lucy H,

lovely country cottage, everything we needed for a relaxing holiday.

Perfect in every way!
