This quirky little cottage, with thick stone walls and beams, has been created from a former byre adjoining the owners’ stone cottage on a quiet lane with lovely views over the Mid Wales countryside. Just outside the village of Llangadfan, with an excellent pub/restaurant and village shop/café within half a mile, this little stone building provides an excellent base for a couple to explore the local area’s wonderful walks, quaint villages and historic market towns. Llangadfan is set between Llanfair Caereinion (7 miles), with its steam train route along the Banwy Valley to Welshpool, and Mallwyd (11 miles) at the south eastern edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Glyndwr’s Way national footpath runs nearby.

Guests at The Byre are invited to recycle where possible, use the eco-friendly cleaning products which are provided and enjoy the characterful interior of the cottage’s retro and up-cycled interior design, whilst still making use of modern technology, the WiFi, Sky QBox TV and electric radiators.
