Look out towards southern Snowdonia from this attractive farmhouse in Mid Wales. Sleeping four guests, the three-bedroom retreat is situated in gorgeous countryside, 4 miles from Machynlleth and the fringes of the impressive national park. It has a pretty garden, which captures views of Cader Idris, and two wood burners to relax beside on autumn and winter evenings.

Step into this charming Welsh retreat and head through to the welcoming lounge to fire up the wood burner and unwind in front of the TV for a spell. Another TV and wood burner can be found through in the dining room, where there is a sofa to settle on, as well as a table and chairs for holiday meals. Cook up tasty meals with the fresh local produce you have bought in Machynlleth through in the kitchen and find there is also a useful breakfast table in here. At the end of each exciting day, climb the stairs up to the first floor where two double bedrooms and a single room are located. The family bathroom is also up here. While away summer afternoons out in the delightful garden. Dine outside in the glorious sunshine as you absorb the views. There is also a lawn to the back of the house where children can play.

Spend time in bustling Machynlleth, shopping in the market, wandering around the interesting shops and dining out in a choice of eateries. Take time to visit the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Wales, while you are here. Plan a day trip to King Arthur’s Labyrinth, 11 miles from the cottage, to take the children through the magical, underground caverns. In the summer months, venture 16 miles to Aberdyfi to spend time on the golden, sandy beach and swim in the sea at the pretty, coastal village.
