Reviews

I recently visited for a 4-night stay with my family and the grandparents - this beautiful house is a listed building with all the charm you'd expect - old wooden beams and floors, beautiful windows and a wood burner stove. The amenities are clean and modern, with a lovely kitchen and breakfast bar, and each room has its own ensuite bathroom (and TV!) - ideal if you're going away with other families/friends. The highlight for me was the hot tub and sunken garden/bbq area. The view across the valley from the decking was breathtaking, and from the tub you could watch the house Martins nesting in the eaves feeding their babies! The house is located in a very rural area, on a working dairy farm, and Welshpool is less than 15 mins away for essentials and supermarkets. The nearest neighbour is Powis Castle - a great day out in itself. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and we were greeted to afternoon tea with scones, strawberries, tea & coffee, milk and two (!) bottles of wine. Anything we needed we could just call through using the bell in the kitchen, and they were prompt to respond. They live in the back part of the house and there are locked adjoining doors, but we had complete peace and privacy. I'd highly recommend a visit here, you won't be disappointed.

Mrs W,

Fabulous accommodation with amazing views. All rooms were excellent and the original features added to the appeal of the property. The hot tub and sun beds were an additional bonus on a very hot weekend. Owners were very friendly and we would very much recommend this property.

Mrs B,

A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful setting. Lovely decor, gorgeous traditional staircase, very spacious, a well-equipped kitchen, 3 lovely en-suite bedrooms, lovely outdoor space with fabulous views, a great hot tub, lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, scones with jam and cream and wine from Anna. Just up the road from the National Trust Powis Castle and Gardens - a definite must see. All-in-all a great place to stay for a relaxing get-away-from-it-all break.

Mrs M,

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Trefnant hall in June. If you want a quiet getaway then this is def the place to be. Sitting in the hot tub looking out at the beautiful countryside was so relaxing and even the sound of all the sheep close by added to the ambiance. A lovely touch was the cream tea and bottle of Prosecco that welcomed us when we arrived. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay there again. If you wanted to go out for day then 10 mins away was lovely town and great pubs for dining out .Even the dogs enjoyed their holiday there too!

Mrs T,

Wow, wow, wow what a stay! Beautiful country house with breathtaking views. Home owners very polite and approachable and live in separate part of the house so you only see them if you need assistance. Very spacious would definitely recommend.

Miss T,

A lovely house with amazing views. It was great having the hot tub - which you could enjoy whilst taking in the views. Our 14 month old grandson really enjoyed the farm - lots of "moos" and "baas"! We've all had a fantastic week. Thank you.

Mrs S,

The property was perfect for our short stay. Very clean with superb views whilst relaxing in the enormous hot tub. Each bedroom with en-suite was comfortable all with beautiful views. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming a great place for a break.

mr R,

Amazing stay! Thank you so much for a wonderful break
