Aberaeron Cottages

A very attractive small seaside town (population 1,500) planned and built in 1805 around a square of elegant Regency style buildings and with a small harbour for yachts and fishing boats.

The Dylan Thomas Trail passes through Aberaeron, there are boat trips to explore the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast and the town features a Seafood Festival in July, a Craft Centre with a shop stocking over 1,000 different craft products, all made in Wales from over 70 suppliers and honey ice cream from the Hive on the Quay!

South of Aberaeron is the National Trust property Llanerchaeron Mansion, a rare example of a self-sufficient C18th Welsh minor gentry estate which has survived virtually unaltered. It has its own service courtyard with dairy, laundry, brewery and salting house, walled kitchen gardens, pleasure grounds, an ornamental lake, parkland and working organic farm with Welsh Black cattle, Llanwenog sheep and rare Welsh pigs.
