Bwthyn-y-Gorwel is a pretty detached stone-built cottage, adjacent to the owners' home in the quiet North Pembrokeshire village of Bwlchygroes, 8 miles south east of Cardigan, and 13 miles from the lovely West Wales beaches at Newport, Poppit Sands and Aberporth.
The quaint little cottage has some lovely original features, including a high beamed ceiling with former crog loft and a wood burning stove in the impressive stone and slate fireplace. The accommodation is all on one level with just a small step at each threshold. Heating is by the stove (logs are provided) and electric heaters.
Living Room: open plan, with large leather sofa in front of the wood burning stove, FreeSat TV and DVD player, radio/CD player and WiFi; fitted kitchen area with electric cooker (double oven and ceramic hob), fridge with 3* freezer compartment, microwave.
Access to the owners’ washing machine and additional freezer space can be arranged, if required.
Conservatory: with dining table and chairs.
Bedroom: comfortably furnished with a king size bed, full bedroom suite and door to the garden.
Bathroom: with electric shower over the bath, basin, WC, heated towel rail and illuminated mirror.
Gardens: the grounds are shared with the owners, but the cottage has a quite private lawned area to the side and small patio with table and chairs. Attractive countryside views from the grounds.
Parking: on gravelled area adjacent to the conservatory and front doors.
Bwthyn-y-Gorwel provides a cosy base for a couple on the edge of the Preseli Hills. A footpath virtually from the door leads to 300 acres of forestry, waterfall, lake and fascinating birdlife of the Ffynone woodlands. Other excellent walking in the area. Welsh Wildlife Centre and the kayaking centre at Cilgerran within easy reach. There are a number of pubs serving food within a few miles. Crymach, 4 miles away, has an excellent range of small shops, petrol station, pubs etc. Cardigan, 8 miles, has a large supermarket and full range of facilities. Plenty of activities in the area with beaches, prehistoric sites, historic castles and churches to explore.

Fantastic welcome by owners who met us at the property and even provided a little welcome pack! A perfect get away from it all retreat and we will certainly go back again.
This cottage is in a perfect location if you want tranquility and stunning scenery, the owners live very close and are very knowledgeable about the area, we will definitely be returning, the website is very easy to navigate and team members are on hand for any information you may need.
Everything fine; thank you. We hope to revisit.
