  • The property is not really suitable for families with young babies - the owners are not able to provide a cot or high chair and they have a dog (he's very friendly but they are aware that some guests are not happy to have a dog around young children). If you are happy with those points, you are welcome to book.

Description

This spacious, two-storey property is an annexe to the owners' home and is situated a couple of miles or so outside the village of Meidrim, 10 miles from the coast at Laugharne and 11 miles west of Carmarthen. There are superb panoramic countryside views to the Preseli Hills and shared use of the owners' enclosed garden and a paddock for games. The owner does have a friendly dog who loves to interact with the guests.

Derwenfa Annexe has double and twin bedrooms; a spacious bathroom with a corner bath, separate shower cubicle with power shower and WC; a fitted kitchen/diner with washing machine, fridge/freezer and door to the garden; comfortable sitting room with patio doors to the garden, Freeview TV and DVD player. Wooden floors both upstairs and downstairs. WiFi available at no extra charge.

Meidrim has a village pub and the small town of St Clears is 6 miles away for shops, restaurants, take-aways and several pubs. Laugharne on the Tywi estuary is famed for being the home of Dylan Thomas. This is a very good central location for south-west Wales and you're only about 20 miles from the popular tourist resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby on the south Pembrokeshire coast. Excellent local walking, fishing (including salmon fishing on the River Tywi) and kayaking, castles, gardens, steam railways, National Wool Museum.

Electricity and heating included.

Bed linen and towels provided.

No smoking inside please.

Sorry, no young babies.

Although out in the sticks the location was perfect for us,and the owners who are on site were great. Everything you need in the property and more a real home from home.

Mrs Ann C,

The owners gave a fine welcome and were very eager to ensure all was well which it was. Thank them very much
