Pembrokeshire & West Wales Events - April & May

Pembrokeshire and West Wales is always a popular destination but a spring true it truly is a stunning place to visit. Some great events taking place make the area even more enticing!

Tour of Pembrokeshire

★ Saturday 20 May & Sunday 21 May 2017 ★ St David's SA62 2PE ★

The first event on the Saturday is for the serious cyclist who wants to enjoy a sportive with a friendly atmosphere yet still a challenging ride. The Pembrokeshire coast and National Park between St David's and Fishguard can be surprisingly hilly but this does mean that there are some breath-taking views - if you have any breath left of course! The shortest route is 60 miles, there is a 80 mile option or even 130 miles if you are up to it. Rider testimonials tell of a great 'tour' feel and much praise for the organisers, volunteers and the all important feed-stations which can make this a wonderful experience for all the family. For 2017 a Sunday family/recovery ride of 40 miles has been added to the schedule. Make a weekend of it!

Fishguard Folk Festival

★ Friday 26 to Monday 29 May 2017 ★ Venues around Fishguard SA65 9AR ★

Established in 1999, this fantastic festival features a host of folk acts from every aspect of the genre. There will be headline ticketed concerts every day but plenty of other free performances around the harbour town. Along with singaround sessions, workshops, ceilidhs and family events this would be a great way to spend your bank holiday weekend, or kick off a longer break in Pembrokeshire.
