Glan y Lli is a frontline beach house sitting just a few steps away from the expansive and unspoilt Llansteffan sands in a picture-perfect location. It boasts stunning views from its balcony which overlooks the Tywi Estuary and out towards the Gower Peninsula in the distance. This property has been refurbished to a high standard throughout and features a shared heated outdoor swimming pool in the gardens for guest use during the Summer months. Ideally positioned to enjoy both beach and countryside, the cottage is a popular retreat for walkers due the proximity of the Wales Coastal Path.
The sandy beach stretches the length of Llansteffan village and around the corner to the beautiful, secluded Scott's Bay where walkers can visit St Anthony's Well, a place of pilgrimage for hundreds of years due to the healing properties of its water. The village itself offers a variety of activities from fishing and sailing to walking and bird watching. There's also a cricket ground and tennis courts to the rear of the property. From April to October, a ferry runs a daily service and also offers a variety of cruises. There are two welcoming pubs/restaurants open on a Friday and Saturday (booking advised, a village shop/deli selling great coffee and meals, a beach cafe and a great Fish & Chip shop.
Nearby attractions include Laugharne; the home of Dylan Thomas, Tenby, The National Botanic Gardens, Aberglasney Gardens, Go Wild Advertures at St Clears and the Gwili Railway at Bronwydd. The market town of Carmarthen is also a mere 10-minute drive away where you'll find a number of local cafes and shops.
