Perfect for a couple and their canine plus-one, this pretty little detached cottage is in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside, only 2 miles from Narberth and less than 10 miles from the coast.

An ideal base from which to discover all the delights of the south-west of Wales, this welcoming couple’s retreat sits within its owner’s grounds in the rural parish of Robeston Wathen. Thoughtfully planned to prioritise together-time, it has accommodation all on one floor and features a comfortable living room and contemporary kitchen/diner equipped with all the essentials for a true home-from-home experience. Striking tiling makes a statement in the stylish shower room, and when it’s time to retire there’s a peaceful double bedroom to ensure a good night’s sleep. Outside, seating areas to the front and side of the property extend your living space further.

Stroll into the village and you’ll find a friendly local shop and pub that serves great food, while less than 2.5 miles away Narberth is a gorgeous little market town with multi-coloured Edwardian and Georgian buildings lining a high street that’s become known as a shopper’s paradise. For seaside fun, head 9.5 miles south to Saundersfoot, where there’s a wide, sandy beach and a historic harbour where you can book a boat trip for fishing or wildlife-watching. Join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path here and you can hike 7 miles east to Amroth or 3.5 miles west to iconic Tenby. If you prefer to explore by car, the latter is 12 miles from your holiday home.

Property was very clean. The owners were very friendly, and were always ready if there was a problem not that there was. The Owner even baked cakes and gave us some very thoughtful. Would recommend this property.

I think the phrase "A home from home" said it all. Charming, welcoming owners. Can't praise them enough, spent two weeks there and still not enough time to see all the sights. Would definitely return for a visit.

A lovely place to stay. Everything you could possibly need. Cath and Kevin very welcoming and friendly. Welsh cakes pack waiting for us and a couple of other items in the fridge. Bungalow very clean and would love to go back. Just a slight note to Original Cottages - If you are travelling from the West then the property comes first before the petroRead morel station on the right hand side. Might also be helpful if Woodford Lane be included in the address as we passed it not realising that was the turning for the property. Hide

An excellent cottage with thoughtful extras provided by great hosts. The local directions provided by Wales Holidays were inaccurate and confusing though.

The cottage and our hosts were wonderful. They welcomed our cat and even left him some treats. The cottage is perfectly placed to visit all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.
