This is a beautiful, rural location, with excellent local walking and within easy driving distance of the many attractions of the West Wales coastline, including the coastal path, boat trips for dolphin, seal and sea bird spotting; sandy beaches and seaside attractions at Aberporth, Llangrannog, NewQuay, Cei Bach, Aberaeron and Llanrhystud. National Trust’s Llanerchaeron is less than 5 miles away and the Dolaucothi Gold Mines, 17 miles. Brechfa Forest, to the south, for forest walks and mountain biking. The pretty market town of Newcastle Emlyn, with lovely independent shops, cafes and restaurants, is just 15 miles away. Cardigan to the south and Aberystwyth to the north, each a little over 20 miles along the beautiful coast road.

We had a wonderful week staying at Bluebell cottage. The cottage was beautiful both inside and out and in a perfect location for exploring all the wonderful countryside nearby. We could not fault all the facilities inside the cottage and the garden was wonderful. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub which was a real treat for us to use once our toddler was in bed! The owners were very friendly and approachable. We could not have asked for anything more for our lovely staycation.

Mrs B,

Beautiful property and location , owners were very helpful and friendly

Mrs W,

Bluebell Cottage was an absolute dream - perfect location for easy access to the coast but also to national heritage sites too. Lyn and Oriel were so welcoming and friendly … and always on hand for advice on where to eat, what to visit or just for a general chat!! Would love to come back here soon! Thank you so much xx

Miss D,

Property was very comfortable and clean. In a lovely quiet location a short drive from Aberaeron and New Quay and near some lovely walks. The beach at New Quay was lovely. The hot tub is a great addition and out children loved it. We enjoyed meals from The Hive, Cellar Bar and New Celtic in Aberaeron and The Black Lion and Lime Crab in New Quay. Definitely worth a stay. Hosts are very nice and welcoming. We had a great time.

Mrs B,

Excellent long weekend. Blessed by good weather at easter. Very nice property but in quite remote location, so car is essential. Ceredigion coast close by and property has lovely surrounding countryside. Friendly owners live next door or working smallholding. Property recently refurbished throughout and perfect for 2-4 people. Brand new hot tub is a bonus.

Mr J,

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautifully presented, very well equipped, warm and cosy, obviously a lot of thought has gone into decoration and layout. The welcome gifts were very welcome. It was great to know there was someone on hand when needed (fixing the lights in the kitchen promptly) but having the owners living next door didn't feel intrusive as it has been in other cottages we have stayed in. Having the boiler house was a great asset when we came home with wet boots and socks. We really enjoyed sitting in the lounge and looking out over the fields and being entertained by the sheep. We found the cottage really well situated to be able to enjoy both countryside and coast. We have recommended Bluebell Cottage to both family and friends.

Anne and D,

We feel so lucky to have had a holiday in this cottage! On our arrival it was everything, and more. This is an absolutely beautifully renovated cottage of a very high standard, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and also homely. It has everything you need plus a lovely garden with stunning scenery and amazing sunsets. It’s a very peaceful place to stay, and a lovely place to come back to after a day of sightseeing, and it is only 20 minutes from New Quay and close to so many places to visit. We visited over 16 places in a week! (beaches/towns/farms), most of them are a short distance driving from each other (i.e. Llangranog, New Quay, Tresaith, Mwnt, Aberporth, Penbryn, Cardigan town, Cardigan Farm Park) all of which we would recommend visiting! We also visited ‘Woodland Alpacas’ which was great fun! The whole coastline of Ceredigion and Cardigan is a really beautiful area, with lovely walks, sandy coves and great views across the coastline and sea – we saw dolphins on more than one occasion at Aberporth and New Quay! The owners are very welcoming and helpful. After 20 years of travelling the UK and staying in cottages this is definitely the best cottage we have stayed in. We would definitely recommend it!

Mr David M,

We had a lovely week at Bluebell cottage, it's situated in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location and the views across the fields are amazing at sunset. The cottage is fitted out to a high standard, and spotlessly clean. The owners were welcoming and helpful hosts and our daughter loved meeting the cats and sheep on the farm. It's a short drive to New Quay and other beaches, plenty to do in this area, our favourite was Penbryn - wide and unspoilt. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

Mr Julian A,

We had a wonderful, peaceful week staying at Bluebell cottage. The location of the cottage is stunning and we couldn’t get enough of the views. It’s situated on a working farm but at no time did we feel this was intrusive or noisy in any way, in fact my daughters both loved watching the sheep! The cottage itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated and is well-equipped. The location is tucked well away, so incredibly peaceful; yet well situated to explore all along the West Wales coastline, so long as you have a car. We loved coming home to Bluebell Cottage every day after exploring the beautiful rugged beaches and towns & villages dotted around. We also got to see dolphins at New Quay, which was very special.

Mrs Kerry H,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bluebell Cottage, the Welcome Pack was probably the best we’ve had after 20 years of cottage holidays and the cottage location, layout, decor and cleanliness was just spot on. We spent many hours out on the patio enjoying the peace and countryside views with cattle and sheep grazing next to us, we enjoyed some lovely sunsets. We visited many of the local beaches, all were lovely but our favourite was Llangrannog, the car park in the upper village is free but there is a pay car park down by the beach but arrive early to ensure you get a space. Penbryn is a quieter sandy cove with a quaint cafe “The Plwmp Tart” with public toilets at the car park. We had bikes so the old railway line between Aberaeron and Llanerchaeron NT provided us with a scenic local off road ride. A bit further away at Tregaron is Cors Caron Nature Reserve, it’s well worth a visit with off-road cycle, walking trails and an attractive picnic area.
