This Newport self catering cottage can sleep up to 6 guests and is set overlooking the beach at Newport, Pembrokeshire and the beautiful Nevern Estuary. There is a short path down to the beaches on the Parrog side of the Bay and it is also within walking distance of the restaurants, cafes, traditional pubs and the Wales Coastal path. Ger y Traeth is in an ideal location for a family or group of friends.
Kitchen – Electric oven, additional gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, full sized upright fridge and freezer.
Lounge – Comfy leather sofas with seating for 6, patio doors opening out to conservatory. TV, with freeview and DVD and there is a selection of books to enjoy.
Dining area – Grand classic style dining table with seating for 6, serving hatch linked to kitchen.
Conservatory – Superb views to be enjoyed across the beach, Newport Sands and the Nevern Estuary. One separate WC.
Master bathroom with bath and separate tiled shower area.
Master bedroom – Fantastic views across the bay from a luxury super king sized bed with a 9000 spring deluxe mattress. Dressing table and cupboards.
Twin bedroom - Large twin bedded room with dressing table, ensuite shower room attached and walk through access to the 3rd bedroom.
Double bedroom - Double bed and wardrobe with window stretching the width of the room. Please note the double bedroom is accessed via twin room.
Family bathroom - Located between the twin and double bedrooms this bathroom contains a WC and shower.
Fully enclosed garden with great views. A 360* garden where you can enjoy the sun at all times of the day. BBQ area and secure bike storage.

This Newport self catering cottage is a detached bungalow set on a small and quiet estate with a path leading down to the beach. The centre of Newport is only 0.5 miles away. To the south, Fishguard is 7.5 miles away while Cardigan is 11 miles to the north.
The Welsh name for Newport is Trefdraeth and can be translated to 'town by the beach'. Newport is a delightful little town with a mixture of shops, numerous art galleries, craft shops, cafes and pubs and of course its famous beach. The area is great for walking, cycling, fishing, bird-watching and many watersports. Located on the North Pembrokeshire Coast the 3 larger towns of Fishguard, Cardigan and Haverfordwest are all within a 30 minute drive. Within Newport there are some great places to eat and drink and the Golden Lion (it's worth booking your table in advance), Cnapan Restaurant and Lys Meddsyg Restaurant can all be recommended.
The ancient Preseli Mountains lie inland and include Carningli from where you can enjoy superb views across the Bay. The Beautiful Gwaun Valley is also worth a visit - this steep-sided narrow Valley was carved by glaciers in the last ice age.
For walkers the ‘Poppit Rocket’ shuttle bus runs along the coast and offers drop off and pick up points along the All Wales Coastal Path. This section of coast is well known for its many dolphins and porpoises, with dolphin watching trips available from New Quay Harbour. Pembrokeshire also has a wealth of family attractions including Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, the Blue Lagoon Water Park, Anna's Wild Zoo and a Dinosaur Centre.
Many beaches nearby including Newport Sands, The Cwm, Aber-Rhigian, Aber Forrest and Cwm yr Eglwys. Parrog beach is the closest and is within walking distance . 0.5 miles.
The area is great for kayaking, windsurfing and there is also a sailing club in Newport Bay. 1 mile.
Great walking on many trails and tracks in the Preseli Hills and the all Wales Coastal Path can be joined only a short walk away from the cottage. 0.2 miles
There is superb fishing all around the Newport area.
Sea fishing – Where the River Nevern meets the sea there is a popular bass and flat fish mark. 0.5 mile.
Coarse fishing -Many lakes including Yet-y-Gors Coarse Fishery. 7 miles
Game fishing – Day tickets are available for the River Nevern with its stock of Brown Trout and Sewin (sea-trout) 0.5 miles.
Known as one of the best links courses in the UK, Newport has stunning coastal scenery. 2 miles
National Cycle Network passes only yards from the cottage and there are many trails and quiet local roads in the area. You can cycle right onto and across Newport sands. 1 mile
