Surrounded by 30 acres of grounds to explore to your heart’s content, this spacious holiday home in West Wales is the perfect place to recharge the batteries. Formerly a water mill, this skillfully converted property gives ample space for socialising with friends and family, as well as being in proximity to a fantastic choice of beaches, and stunning stretches of landscape.

Once a working 17th-century water mill, this clever property has been converted into two spacious apartments suitable for six or 12 guests (if booking the adjoining second home). Covering the first and second floors of this unique mill house, kick off your hiking boots in the entrance to find a beautifully furnished and well-equipped kitchen. Shop locally for Welsh produce and impress your guests with a feast. With a home-away-from-home feel, gather the troops for a snuggly film night in the spacious lounge, with squashy sofas and an atmospheric beamed ceiling. Enjoy a good night’s sleep in the first-floor cosy single bedroom, boasting picture-perfect views. The two remaining bedrooms – a double and a family room – are upstairs and have charmingly sloped ceilings with plenty of storage, great for walking gear – and views that overlook the enveloping grounds. Outside, the 30 acres of grassland mean there is more than enough space for kids and happy hounds to play. In the evenings, fire up the BBQ and enjoy a burger or two watching the sunset.

Famous for its beauty, Pembrokeshire is one of the most visited counties in Wales. For outdoor enthusiasts, the renowned yet challenging Pembrokeshire Coast Path is a whopping 186 miles long and is aptly nicknamed ‘The Land of Mystery and Enchantment’. Its extraordinary landscape is well worth a look; dramatic clifftops, advanced peaks and testing terrain make for an exciting day in the great outdoors. When days at the beach are calling, the apartment is within walking and driving distance to Freshwater East (3.5 miles) and Barafundle Bay (5.5 miles), both of which regularly top the lists of the best beaches in Wales and Britain. Known for their fine white sands and turquoise waters, they have often been mistaken for the Caribbean and lucky for you, these gems are on your doorstep of this cottage!
